Changing your desktop background only takes a few steps. Here is how to do it on Windows and Mac.

Windows 11

  1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop.
  2. Select "Personalize".
  3. Click "Background".
  4. Choose "Picture", "Solid color", or "Slideshow".
  5. Click "Browse photos" to pick an image from your computer.

Windows 10

  1. Right-click the desktop and select "Personalize".
  2. Under "Background", choose "Picture" from the dropdown.
  3. Click "Browse" to select an image.

macOS (Ventura and later)

  1. Click the Apple menu → System Settings.
  2. Select "Wallpaper" in the sidebar.
  3. Click any photo to apply it, or click "Add Photo…" to use your own.

macOS (Monterey and earlier)

  1. Click the Apple menu → System Preferences.
  2. Open "Desktop & Screen Saver" and click the "Desktop" tab.
  3. Select a folder on the left or click "+" to browse your own photos.
