#6 - Personal Photos

Webshots can mix your own photos in alongside the Webshots library. Personal photos stay on your computer — they are not uploaded or backed up to Webshots, so keep your own backup. They're also only available on the computer you import them on.

There are three ways to bring personal photos in, in increasing order of speed:

  1. One photo at a time — exact control, slow for big collections.
  2. A whole directory of photos — adds every photo in that folder to one playlist.
  3. A directory of subfolders — each subfolder becomes its own playlist. Fastest for migrating an entire library.

One at a time

Switch to the Playlists view, select the target playlist, then use "Add from Computer" (the folder-plus icon in the lower-left action row) to pick one or more JPEG files.

A whole directory

When creating a new playlist, choose "Add Local Playlist". Pick the directory of JPEGs you want; Webshots creates a playlist with the directory's name and links the photos in.

A directory of subfolders

Open Settings → Import Photos and click "Import Photo Directory". Webshots scans the chosen directory: each subfolder becomes its own playlist, with all of its JPEGs imported.
