Fall Desktop Wallpapers for Windows & Mac
Free HD and 4K fall desktop wallpapers — download and set as your background in one click.
Fall desktop wallpapers cover the season when deciduous landscapes undergo their most dramatic annual transformation — the period of a few weeks when green gives way to every shade of yellow, orange, red, burgundy, and brown before the trees go bare and winter light takes over. The collection is strongest in North America, where the breadth of deciduous forest and the density of maple trees in particular produces fall color that has no equivalent elsewhere. New England's covered bridges and village commons in peak color appear alongside the broader forest panoramas of the Adirondacks and the Smoky Mountains. The collection also draws from Japan's momiji (autumn leaf viewing) season, the golden larches of the Alps and the Dolomites, and the aspen groves of the American West that turn whole mountainsides yellow in a matter of days. All images are HD and 4K resolution. Fall wallpapers are popular year-round because the color palette — warm golds, deep reds, amber — creates a particular quality of light on screen that makes desktops feel cozy and grounded. The sunrises & sunsets collection shares fall's warm color temperature, and winter covers what comes immediately after.
